Sustainability
Energy comes from our subsoil deep in the earth, from the sediments deposited over millions of years in different geological eras. It’s an intrinsic part of who we are, underpinning cultures and civilizations throughout history. Conscious of our heritage, we carefully study and plan all our activities, analyzing the best way to produce energy and protect it at the same time.
Our people are front and center of our activity. It’s their spirit and energy that make things happen, as they overcome challenges and drive the company forwards into the future. This is why health and safety best practices are a way of life; they’re part of the way we work and live, and far more than just a routine, they’re about commitment and culture.
At Tecpetrol we know that we cannot grow and develop in isolation. We grow as part of a community. That’s why we work as a team with our neighbors, tackling major issues such as education, culture and health together.
The renovation of Rincón de los Sauces’ local movie theater, including a new screen donated by Tecpetrol, offers a good opportunity to look at the company’s broader community strategy: a long-term approach that combines investment in infrastructure with STEM programs designed to support the region’s growth.
Over four weeks, 21 Tecpetrol Young Professionals got the chance to take an inside look at the energy business. From complex technical simulations to hands-on experience at Fortín de Piedra and Los Bastos, the first TUIC of 2026 helped participants apply what they had learned, acquire a more holistic view of the industry and build relationships that are sure to continue long after the program ends.
As Vaca Muerta continues to grow, the energy industry needs young professionals ready to get involved from day one. Verónica Zárate, Operational Planning Specialist, talks about the opportunities and challenges involved in building a high-impact career in the energy industry.
